Storage Period

Unless a more specific storage period is specified within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g., tax or commercial retention periods); in the latter case, the deletion takes place after these reasons no longer apply.

3. Specific Data Processing for the Sale of Alcohol (Age Verification)

Legal Obligation for Age Verification

According to § 9 of the German Youth Protection Act (JuSchG), brandy, beverages containing brandy, or foodstuffs containing brandy in more than minor quantities may not be given to children and young people; other alcoholic beverages (such as wine and sparkling wine) may not be given to children and young people under 16 years of age.

In order to comply with this statutory obligation for online sales, we carry out an age verification process as part of the ordering process. For this purpose, we process your date of birth, which you provide during the ordering process.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. c GDPR (fulfillment of a legal obligation to which the responsible party is subject) in conjunction with § 9 JuSchG.

Age Verification upon Delivery (DHL Age Verification Check)

We ship our goods exclusively using the "Age Verification Check" service of our shipping partner (DHL). When the goods are handed over, a visual check is carried out by the delivery agent to see whether the recipient has reached the prescribed minimum age. If there are doubts, an official photo ID (e.g., identity card or passport) is requested. The ID data viewed by the delivery agent is not stored or processed by us.

4. Hosting and E-Commerce Platform (Shopify)

We host our website and use the e-commerce platform of Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland ("Shopify").
